Montville Pottery was established by David and Audrey Everett in 1966 in the picturesque Sunshine Coast Hinterland town of Montville, Queensland.
While they are highly celebrated for their rich, earthy brown and honey-dripped glazes, they also produced striking, rare collections featuring deep, rich cobalt blue glazes with rustic speckled textures, identical to the plate shown here.
Authentic vintage pieces are typically hand-thrown stoneware and bear an incised or stamped "Montville" signature on the unglazed base as shown.
Set of 4 side plates 19cm across All are in excellent condition. As they are hand made each have their own characteristics. Some show more of the making marks than others but all are very well glazed and appear unused. We also have a large 30cm serving plate to match
